Privacy policy
JobBuddy is a discovery and redirection app. Users browse listings and click a button to visit the external page where the job application is submitted. All personal information you provide during an application is collected and processed by the external site—not by JobBuddy.
What data JobBuddy handles
- Browsing only: JobBuddy displays job listing metadata (e.g., title, company, location) and provides outbound links to external application pages.
- No application data: JobBuddy does not collect, store, or access any information you submit on external job application sites.
- Technical logs (minimal): We may process basic, non-identifying technical information (e.g., page views, link clicks) to ensure the app functions and to prevent abuse. These logs do not include application form contents.
External sites and third-party links
When you click “Apply” or similar buttons, you are redirected to an external site. That site’s privacy policy and terms govern your data. Review those policies before submitting any information.
Cookies and analytics
- Essential operations: If used, cookies or local storage are limited to ensuring the app works (e.g., preferences, session continuity).
- Optional analytics: If analytics are enabled, they are configured to avoid collecting application form data and to use aggregated or pseudonymous metrics where possible.
Data security
- Scope: JobBuddy secures the app environment and any minimal technical logs it controls.
- External responsibility: Security of your application data is the responsibility of the external site where you submit it.
Children’s privacy
JobBuddy is not directed to children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information on an external site, contact that site directly.
Your rights
- With JobBuddy: You may request information about any minimal technical logs we hold about your use of the app.
- With external sites: Exercise your privacy rights (e.g., access, deletion) directly with the site where you submitted your application.
International use and compliance
JobBuddy aims to align with global privacy principles (including POPIA, GDPR, and similar frameworks) for the limited data it handles. External sites are responsible for their own compliance. Review their policies for jurisdiction-specific rights and obligations.

Limitation of liability
- Indirect damages: To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobBuddy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- External sites: JobBuddy is not liable for any actions, omissions, breaches, or data practices of external sites.
